That's been in windows for a long time - you needed to have local admin rights to write to the program folder. It sounds like it's been tightened up. Makes sense, even if it sems a bit of a faff. This was the same in Windows 7 and 8, unless you turned off UAC things couldn't write to the Program Files folder. However the difference is that in 10 they have changed UAC so that if you turn it to 'Off' it doesn't actually turn it off. You have to hack the registry to turn it off completely and then a lot of native windows apps like Edge, calculator etc don't work. After talking with ChamSys US service over the phone, the guy has been a little fuzzy on details and preoccupied when I've called, but he believed that the standalone server software was released and could be launched 'the same way you would launch the visualizer'. We prepared a WO show and want to send a cue to a chamsys lightning desk. Reason - start lightshow and movie/sound together. Any suggestions? We have a interface from kiss box DMX (in/out) and Midi (in). Is there a solution to send Midi to the chamsys lightning desk Thx in advance Geert. Hp printer driver for mac.
Bluetooth always uses 2.4GHz, so this alternative isn't available for Bluetooth. Gn2000 usb driver for mac.
I'm just beginning to see promotional efforts for the Chamsys QuickQ consoles. They look like an interesting option for smaller shows. There's a seminar happening at the Plasa show that I might try and get to.

I tested the MM 1.0 on my computer and controlled it via ArtNet with Chamsys PC Wing with my another computer. I used the 'Full' -fixture and ran into a 'LITTLE' problem and I dont really know if this should work like this: I took a clip to layer number 1 and scaled its resolution in Chamsys to the right bottom of my screen. Then I put another clip into layer number 2 and it was scaled the same way as the previous layer. So, are the fixtures screwd or is this some kind of demo limitation? All the layers were patcher seperately and each layer was using 43 channels plus the master fixture channels I also patched. When I scaled layer number 1 I only selected layer 1 in Groups palette so I was only controlling the first layers channels.

I have the same problem, except even after I connect to an external monitor and drag it over, after closing media center it always wants to open Winamp control on the external monitor that doesn't exist. Very annoying. It should be noted that I did not have an external monitor hooked up at anytime while installing MagicQ. Must be a bug. This only happens with Winamp control device window.
